Squareup Installation Process

Using Squareup Effectively

  1. Create a Square Account

    • Visit squareup.com and click “Get Started.”

    • Enter your email, create a password, and choose your business type.

    • Provide personal and business details for identity verification.
  2. Choose Your POS System

    Square offers several POS options:

    • Square POS (general use)

    • Square for Retail

    • Square for Restaurants

    • Square Appointments

    Select the one that fits your business needs

  3. Select Your Hardware

    You can use Square with just a phone or tablet, or purchase hardware like:

    • Magstripe Reader (free for first-time users)

    • Contactless & Chip Reader

    • Square Terminal or Register

    • Square Stand for iPad

  4. Download the Square App

    • Available on iOS and Android.

    • Log in with your Square credentials.
  5. Link Your Bank Account

    • Add your bank details to receive payments.

    • You can choose standard or instant transfers

  6. Set Up Transfer Options

    • Customize how and when you receive funds.

    • Options include next-day, same-day, or instant transfers

  7. Start Accepting Payments

    • Use the app or hardware to process sales.

    • You can also set up Square Online for e-commerce.
